Some uterine disorders can cause exactly the symptoms you're describing. You should find a good gynecologist and have him/her conduct a comprehensive pelvic exam with ultrasound. Depending on what the doctor finds, s/he may wish to do a procedure called a laparoscopy, where they use minimal incisions to explore the organs and structures of your pelvis.

I've had two laparoscopies for endometriosis. The last one showed adenomyosis as well as endometriosis, and I'm using a progesterone releasing IUD to try to help control some of the symptoms. My follow up exams with my doctor involve ultrasound to check to make sure my uterus has not further enlarged or developed growths.

Not all GYN doctors are qualified to do this and to best deal with these disorders. Look around and do research online to find someone who is good. My own doctor is in fact a fertility specialist who has ended up knowing quite a bit about these sorts of disorders because so many of the women who seek him out for fertility problems end up to have disorders like my own.

It may be minor, so please don't be too anxious about it. Just be prudent - don't delay on finding a good GYN doctor and having this checked out.
