Waht is a Yeast infection?!

Question: ??.

Answers: ??.

It is an infection caused by the yeast-like fungus Candida albicans (usually) most often, the term "yeast infection" refers to a vaginal or vulvovaginal infection in women. it can also infect the mouth and esophagus (thrush- common is babies and HIV patients, male and female) or respiratory tract. It is also commonly found in the skin folds of overweight people and especially overweight diabetics. Jock itch is caused by a different fungus- Tinea cruris.

thrush

A yeast infection is a common fungal infection of the vagina, characterized by itching, burning, or redness of the vaginal area

it can be both,
it is a term for an infection that mostly affects the genital area, although it is also possible to get it on other parts of your body, an example of a yeast infection is 'thrush' which both men and women can get, in women it shows itself through a thick discharge, itching and a stronger than normal odour

I think its when bacteria in yeast can cause an infection. Its Vaginal yeast infection and so affects women (surprising right?)

A yeast infection means a fungi/fungal/fungus infection. It can affect both, women and men equally. Fungus infection aka yeast infection can be seen in people who don't have sexual relations because it is caused by the humidity in the genital areas, so even children or elderly people can have it and it is quite easy to treat.

I don't know exactly what yeast infection is buttt theres this website i was looking in before its very useful though

go on it it is very useful

Yeast is a fungus that grows in the intestines. It can manifest itself on the body in a variety of ways, including: in the ears, on the tongue (sometimes called thrush), the armpits, in the vagina, in or near the rectum, and even the feet (sometimes yeast can be athletes foot).

Because yeast grows in the intestine, the best way to get rid of it - no matter where it shows itself, is to avoid high carbohydrate foods, and anything with sugar in it. There are prescription medications available, but to fully get "rid" of it, you need to take a stronger approach. There are plenty of natural substances you can use from a health food store which I have personally found to be far more effective than any prescription.

If you feel you have a chronic problem with it, then I would lay off the carbs & sugar, and see your doctor. But remember that this is a fungus that grows in the intestine, not in the vagina, armpit, ear or feet.... (a lot of people fail to remember that when they seek treatment for a symptom)
