Answers: i dont like niddles and not sure which position would sout me better...

I have been an RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) for almost 5 years now and I truly believe it's what God intended for me. Most of my patients are people whom I get to know on a regular basis and I'm able to develop a rapport with them, they've become part of my extended family.
RRTs are involved in many aspects of lung care: oxygenation, mechanical ventilation (some call them "respirators"), breathing medications and tracheostomy care. We work closely with cardiologists and kidney specialists as these related fields can cause, mimic or affect lung problems as well. We manually ventilate patients to CT/MRI scans if required and sometimes (depending on the institution) have the responsibility to intubate in traumas or code situations. Some people are squeamish about suctioning trach/intubated patients or obtaining sputum samples, but I have a very strong stomach and have never had any problems.
I'm not sure about the pay scale, it varies from location to location and work place, but it's an honest living. It's a great opportunity. Seek out the nearest school in your area and interview with the instructors. You are usually allowed to shadow an RRT for a good idea of what you'll be expected to do.
I wish you the best of luck in making up your mind. Feel free to contact me with any specific questions.

I am a radiologic technologist and I work in xray. I love it! Respiratory therapy is the best paying out of those three. I dont know anything about it except that it is challenging. I love ultrasound and thought about going to ultrasound school and just never did. lol

I am a nurse but i have been told that MRI technicians are in high demand and that they pay very well.......
