Donating a Kidney, daughter to father?!

Question: So my dad had a kidney transplant 13 years ago and he is due for another one soon. He will be 50 this year and just had triple bipass surgery 6 months ago. His kreatnin level is starting to go up a little (it is around 7), although he does not neeeeed the dilaysis yet because he can still function. My mom and I are probably both going to be tested to see if either one of us can do it (I know I am a match b/c i am his daughter.)
I really want to do it because I do not want to have him suffer through all of the dialysis again. I just don't know if I could personally handle it.

I am very upset and confused. Can anyone give me some advice??

(I am 18)

well you can handle it..there isn't any thing harder than making the choice to give, after that every thing else is easy..sure there is a lot of test, and the stress of pushing the Dr. to get every thing done ..and sure it hurts like h--l ...But when you see your loved one out of pain and in good health you forget all of it..and you live with the peace of knowing you really made a difference in someones quality of life ...my 70 year old mother in law needed a kidney 7 years ago and i was the best match ...not one of her 3 daughters .well I wouldn't change any thing and am glad that i could help her .

That is so sweet that you can help your father. In my opinion God will protect you both .And your father would be so thankful your helping in a way so few can your making a diffrence .If more people could care to even think like you this worl would be a better place you can handle it.Just thinking of doing it for him you are more brave than most
