Please Help me by evaluating my TFT?!

Question: Note the result of Thyroid test
I'm 43 year old male
Ho2 Free Triodothyroxine (FT3) 4.4 pmol/l
HO3 Free Thyroxine (FT4) 11.82 pmol/l
HO4 Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) 1.09 IU/ml

Answers: Note the result of Thyroid test
I'm 43 year old male
Ho2 Free Triodothyroxine (FT3) 4.4 pmol/l
HO3 Free Thyroxine (FT4) 11.82 pmol/l
HO4 Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) 1.09 IU/ml

Thyroid Functions Tests:
*TSH normal values; 2-10 mU/L the range is the same for
uU/ml
A level of 1.09 is decreased. This can be caused by secondary hypothyroidism ( pituitary gland dysfunction),
Hyperthyroidism. Certain drugs can decrease the level:
Aspirin
Steroids
Heparin ( blood thinner)
Physical causes:
Severe illness

*FreeThyroxine (FT4)
Normal range 0.8-2.8 ng/dl or 10-36 pmol/L Your result is normal
Free Thyroxine 3 is actually determined by the FT4I, T3 uptake is measured and multiplied by the measured T4.
FT4I = T4 total x T3 uptake (%) over 100.
*FT3 ages 20-50, normal range 1.2-3.4 nmol/L
There are drugs that can cause decreased levels:
Steroids
Dilantin
Inderal
Aspirin
And there are physical conditons that can cause decreased levels.

Most of the Thyroid hormone circulating in the blood is bound to transports proteins.
Only a small fraction of the circulating hormone is free ( unbound) & biologically active, hence the measuring concentrations of free Thyroid is of great value.
When Thyroid hormone is bound, it is not active, so the amount of free T3/T4 is what is important.
T3 Triiodothyronine normal range is 100-200 ng/dl, this is T3 radioimmunoassay.
The best thing to do is to contact your Doc and ask what your test results mean.
I hope that this helped some.

Using the standard that my tests were run, every one of yours is right within range. Normal.... close to the high end on the T4, but still within normal range.
