What do you think it could be?!

Question: My husband has been feeling like his chest is heavy, he is coughing and has the greenish mucus, however, he says he feels fine, no fever, just not feeling like he is sick. do you think that it could just be a virus of some sort?

Thank you in advance!

It does sound like bronchial pneumonia to me; however, I would make a Dr. appt. It does seem to be something many are getting in the past year, for my mom, my s.o.'s mom, & a friend of mine have all been to the hospital because of it, within the past year. My significant o's mom ended up being kept for about a week, & was in ICU for a few days, due to this illness. You may feel fine one minute, and then, without warning, suddenly become VERY ill.
Although it could, however, just be the onset of a cold, I would get evaluated by a pro - i.e., physician. Early diagnosis is key with so many illnesses.
Hope he gets well soon!

Green mucus, heavy chest suggest a chest infection. If he starts to feel unwell with fever or worsening cough he should go to his docs.

sometimes with pneumonia you may feel fine but are really sick. I took my daughter to the doc a couple weeks ago because she kept coughing but felt fine. She had bronchial pneumonia and we didn't even know.

Green mucous could be indicative of an upper respiratory infection. Have him go to the doctor to get checked out. You don't want this turning into pneumonia.

Here's a novel idea... take him to the doctor. Why ask a bunch of people in a chat site who have no medical expertise? Sheesh.

of course he has some type of chest infection........he should have some treatment.......and the most important thing is your Love to him...which makes him happy and healthy....you should take care of him.....ok
