Candidiasis or commonly called yeast or thrush caused by a superficial infection....mostly like you got a little infection due to the piercing.Just do what the Dr said and I'm sure you will be fine.I hope they didn't make you use that purple stuff that stuff takes forever to wear off.Good Luck

so why do you still have your piercing?

Thrush is a yeast infection of sorts. Infants often get thrush. The mouthwash should get rid of it, but if you are concerned about the time it is taking call your doctor and just ask if you need to do something else. I have heard that if you rinse with baking soda that it helps.

Good luck.

It is a yeast infection. That's what thrush is.

i dnt thonk u you can get yeast infection in da mouth go back to da doctor and tell him/her

Why in the world did you pierce your tongue????

Ciao

Oral candidiasis, is an infection of yeast fungus, Candida albicans, (or, less commonly, Candida glabrata or Candida tropicalis) in the mucous membranes of the mouth. Oral thrush refers to temporary candidiasis in the mouths of babies, whilst if occurring in the mouth or throat of adults it may also be termed candidosis or moniliasis.
TREATMENT:
Any underlying cause, such as poor glucose control in diabetics, should be addressed. Oral candidiasis can be treated with topical anti-fungal drugs, such as nystatin (mycostatin), miconazole or amphotericin B. Patients who are immunocompromised, either with HIV/AIDS or as a result of chemotherapy, may require systemic treatment with oral or intravenous administered anti-fungals.

For adults, mild cases can be first treated by drinking acidic substances, such as orange juice, to make a harsher environment for the yeast and eating yogurt to replenish bacterial count that controls the yeast. If home treatment is not effective a physician may need to be consulted.

If the doctor said you had Oral Thrush then why are you listening to someone who told you about yeast infection? Follow the advice of the doctor.

You should make another appointment with your doctor and tell them about it. Usually after a doctor prescribes someone a medication they make a second appointment to see how the medication has helped. It depends on the problem. If its just something like a cold, they don't do that. You should definitely go check that out with your doctor because it seems your medication didn't work.

first,what does OMG mean?
again,,do u get this oral thrush spontaneously?i mean,doesn'
it associated with other symptoms?
ya,acc to my knowledge,,oral thrush is due to yeast infection,or ,are u takin some other drugs,or d u have any other illnesses?these might contribute to ur recent problem
