Allergic to the cinnamon oil??!
Question: Whenever I eat something with strong cinnamon flavour(
cinnamon candy etc), my tongue has become sore for 4,5days....Does anyone have the same reaction?? I think it's started when I first used the organic toothpaste contained the cinnamon oil. Strangely enough, I don't get reaction to the cinnamon powder sparingly used in cooking & pastries.

The powdered "cinnamon" that we buy in the grocery and cook with is not really cinnamon, it is from the cassia plant. Cinnamomum verum is true cinnamon is that is what they use to make the cinnamon oil.
So see, it is two different plants. Only "foodies" are generally aware that the stuff in the grocery is cassia. It is allowed to be sold as cinnamon because the plant name is Cinnamomum aromaticum, which means that it smells like cinnamon!
Don't use it, then!
