Question for those who have had kidney stones pretty please click ----------->!

Question: I was wondering if you have had them how long does one have to wait to work out again after having passed them?

I am almost certain I passed them and I am sooooo ready to at least get some cardio done... I don't go back to the doctor for another week and a half or so...

How long did you have to wait if you had this happen to you?

Any advice please and thank you very much!

:)

Hard to say. We are all different. Talk to your doctor before you start an exercise program. He is in the best position to tell you when you can resume exercising.

Now if you will excuse me. I have a date with the couch and a bag of potato chips.

Jane I have had them and Ouch they were murder. Many women told me that the pain was greater than childbirth. Usually the doctors give you a screen to catch the stones so that they can analyze them. I am an exercise fanatic also and I was back on the road bike two days later. Just check with your doctor. If you call him they can probably give you an answer.

both times that i had them i was pregnant & i really didn't stop exercising so i'd think u could get back into the swing of things with in a day of passing the only reason i didn't do as much exercising as i normally would while i had them was the back pain i had with them. my son gets them every 2 months & has gotten them since he was 2 years old he's now 9 & i still don't know how he just goes about his day like any other child would when he has them plus he doesn't complain about the pain he just ask me to rub his back till he goes to sleep at night & when he has them the pai n does wake him up in the night.the only thing the doctor has ever told me is to give him plenty of water & cranberry juice to either break them up or get to pass a little quicker & when he's in pain to give him advil or aleve because tylenol doesn't help anyone in our family with any kind of pain. only once have they prescribed pain meds for him. they told me he couldn't exercise or go about his day as he would any other day.
