Do i have meningitis?!

Question: I never shared a drink with my friend. But we had to run 3 miles 15 laps around the track and its huge. I was so dehydrated and my 2 friends shared a drink the first one was kinda sick the other one was healthy i drank it and the next day i feel kind of clammy. Then the next day i was not only clammy but really tired and and threw up a couple times. Then i went to school cause i thought it was just a really bad cold. then i shared a drink again with 2 other healthy people. Those people share drinks a lot with their friends. Do i have meningitis? and will their me a meningitis outbreak? i stayed home from school and used my laptop. i am so tired.

If you are sitting up and writing coherently, you pretty likely don't have meningitis. It sounds like a nasty flu virus. First of all, meningitis has more serious symptoms, like super high fever and delirium. Second, if there were an outbreak I can assure you the school would already know about it and be sending home notes to parents about it.

I beleive meningitis comes on very fast. Your temp would spike suddenly and you woulnd't be able to type on the computer because you would be so lathargic

okayy... if you do have meningitis... you are very contagious... so you may want to stay away from people until youre on antibiotics... you should definetly call your doctor rather than be sitting on the computer... good luck

You probably had the flu. Any illness has an incubation period, you cant just get sick right away. You were already sick before you shared a drink.
