As much as I love my sleep I find it very hard to get to sleep and often find myself waking up at odd times throughout the night.
Hope your not expecting to sleep too much the weekend xx

i'm the same as you. takes me ages to get to sleep although i usually do eventually. My housemate at uni had insomnia, it was very odd because you could get up at any time of the night and he'd be up, i'm not convinced he ever actually slept

I suffer with sleep, it takes me ages to get to sleep and once i am asleep I wake up really uncomfortable. I suffer Night Sweats. Dont know why, doctor thinks its to do with my anxiety but dunno. Once I am awake too It takes me at least an hour to get back to sleep. Always tired...

I have TERRIBLE insomnia! Sometimes it works to my advantage, but most of the time, it really wears on you. My advice to anyone who suffers, melatonin!

i have insomnia pretty bad, i usually only sleep 30 minutes to an hour every night... i do take naps during the day though

I suffer from all types of insomnia plus I have sleep apnea. And I don't like going to sleep either, so I know how you feel. Especially worse when you know you stop breathing hundreds of times throughout the night and any one of those times can kill you. But I'm sure with you it's just that you're excited with Life and find sleep a waste of time. I've gone many nights with very little sleep. But it catches up on you later when you are so tired all you can do is sleep the day away. So don't let it become a problem. Don't get too stimulated prior to sleep. For instance stay off the computer and TV at least an hour before you want to sleep. And take a very boring book to bed with you. Should do the trick!

i lie awake for hours wondering what causes insomnia.

I have chronic nightmares that scare the living daylights out of me, and also my husband as I can practically scream the house down, I tend to put off sleeping for as long as I can

I've had sleeping problems since I was a baby. Apparently I used to stop breathing as a baby so my Mum or Dad would always sit beside me and wake me up to get me going again. I often wonder if this is why I've had years of problems falling / staying asleep....some kind of sub-conscious connection to the past! I've intermittently used sleeping pills and other meds to get a decent sleep but I don't like to make a habit of them.
