Flu/Fever help..?!

Question: I recently got sick [on Feb. 25(my b-day!!)] and this is the 3rd day that I have not been feeling so well. I'm coughing a lot, my throat is dry, I feel very very hot/warm, and I can barely talk. I've skipped school because of my condition, and I want to get better as soon as possible. What are some things that I should take that will make me better? The things that I know that will make me better are:
tea, lemon, medications, and warmth

What are things should I take (or eat) that will help my fever go away quickly?

The best thing I know of for bringing a fever down quickly is Tylenol rapid release capsule. Tylenol is really the best for fevers. Also, you could try cool compresses for your face and neck. It works best to have a bowl or plastic dishtub with cold water and a few ice cubes. That way after your washcloth/dishtowel gets warm from you body, you can dip it back in the water to cool it down again.

General cold and flu fighters include herbal tea, vitamin C, echinacea, zinc, coughdrops with eucalyptus.
Remember, drink plenty of water and tea. Jucices are OK, but they feed the bug that is making you sick.

Get well soon!

Asprin, Advil
