How long does it take for a Herpes outbreak after you had sex with the infected !

Question: Hi well let me ask u ,how long is a piece of string?
If differs from person to person as some ppl are carriers and show no outward signs but will pass on infection easily.
Having said that tho normally in 1-3 weeks signs usually appear.
Then get along to GP who will test and if positive will prescribe Valtrex which will assist in keeping outbreaks under control..

basically for the first outbreak it could take 2-20 days to develop symptoms. or u may not have symptoms for a long time and just be a carrier of herpes because herpes can lie dormant for long periods of time.

You never really know. If you suspect that you have an outbreak, see a Dr
OB/GYN RN

I've heard that the zapper is good for herpes.

A person can be infected and not transmit the disease unless they have sores ....the sores that come and go. My ex- had herpes and I didn't get it...! So, was this person having an outbreak at the time of sex? This is a good reason to have oral sex, get down there and check it out.

Unfortunately, you may never have symptoms of an outbreak, even if you are infected. Many many people have herpes outbreaks that are so mild that they are unaware that they are infected. They can indeed infect other people, as well.

For more information on herpes symptoms, testing and treatment, check out the website of the American Social Health Association. They have lots of reliable, up-to-date information.

Good luck.
