Burning during oral sex?!

Question: My boyfriend performed oral sex on me and I felt a burning feeling. I went to the doctor and they said it was a yeast infection. I took the medication and waited two weeks to have sex. When he performed oral sex on me again, same burning - got another yeast infection. Since the symptoms were the same I just took Monistat 3 instead of going back to the doctor. He went to the doctor and they said there doesn't appear to be any type of infection. What should I do? Could this be something other than a yeast infection? How long should I wait before having sex after yeast infection?

Does the burning only happen when he's going down on you, or during sex also? If it's during sex, are you using latex condoms? It sounds like you may be allergic to condoms. If you are allergic to latex condoms then your vagina gets irritated, it burns and you'll get a yeast infection. Also, when you use over the counter yeast infection products they take anywhere from a day to 7 days to work. So the yeast infection might go away, but if you have sex with a latex condom again, you might get another infection. They sell non-latex condoms, which are usually cost twice as much. Good luck figuring out whats going on!

Here's my wife's intuition. Perhaps your skin is having some reaction to the oral sex. If you've ruled out the possibility of an STD, a yeast infection, etc, then maybe you're having a reaction to facial hair or teeth hitting the genital area. You may be having a reaction due to the abrasion created by the teeth/facial hair. I hope this is helpful.

it might be something else doctors can be wrong. get an std test done... if Ur boyfriend brushes his teeth before performing oral sex it may feel like its burning... now heres a good tip///make sure he didn't eat anything sweet for a while before giving you oral sex as this can cause yeast infections and might be why they are reoccurring!
