Question: I have a 3 year old who is sick. Coughing and fever. Yesterday he had a nose bleed for about 10 minutes. Then today he woke up from nap with another nose bleed. He has had fever since Sat. His older brother had the flu last week could this just be the flu or what?

I'm not a parent, but I know the basics. The coughing and fever and most likely the flu, the nose bleeding too. Because of the dryness from the coughing and such. Try a humidifier, put it on when he sleeps or is in a room for a while playing.
If the nose bleeding persists after two-three days with the humidifier, I'd go to a doctor, but your baby sounds fine.
I dont know but I would take your child to the doctor asap.

Parents only? You need a doctor or nurse. How high is the fever? A 10 minute nose bleed combined with those other symptoms is serious enough to take a child to the ER in my book either way. I hope by now you have decided to take your child for medical attention.
I would have taken my son to the ER long ago. Don't wait go to the ER.
Sweetie, get him to the emergency room immediately !! With all the different strains of flus and colds circulating at the moment you just can't afford to take the risk with his precious little life?
The nose bleed is more than likely from vitamin C deficiency, being that he has a virus or flu, Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin and is the first to get used up when the body is stressed or ill?Get loads of freshly squeezed juices and loads of fresh filtered water into him?You need to get that temp down or he may start hallucinating or hyperventilating ~ neither of which is pretty?
Tepid baths are good for lowering temperatures in children so young ~ but as i said, get him to a hospital emergency room fast please?
