Chicken pox booster and now there is a pox right where the needle was....?!

Question: On tuesday i got the booster, well now ( thurs) there is red and sweeling- totally normal. But i have a pox just one. I called the doctor said dont worry, but try not to have to many people touch it. Well durring the day i have a few people touch it, before i knew i shouldnt have. Now what, will they get the real case, to me that doesnt seem right. I mean it is only one and i dont understand how they could get it if it really truely was the real pox.

Thank u so much!

Any vaccine has a part of the disease in it, but it's inactive because the vaccine carries the immunity for it. You may have a mild case of it, but nothing to worry about. Most people who are above the age of 10 have either had chicken pox or been innoculated against it, so the risk of spreading it is very slim.

If they have not had the disease before or the vaccine then they could get the virus from touching yours. Strict handwashing should be practiced & you should definitely stay away from adults who have not had it b/c it is more lethal in these individuals if they contract it.
