Is Angelman Syndrome sex-linked?!

Question: Angelman syndrome is not sex linked in the traditional sense. What I mean is that we have 23 pairs of chromosones. One from our father and one from our mother. For convenience they are numbered 1-22 and the last pair is XY. The problem with angelman's is that you can get it if there is a mutation on a specific gene on the maternal copy of chromosone 15. Hence that gene doesn't work. At the same time if for some reason you get two copy of chromosone 15 from dad and none from mom you have essentially done the same thing.

how do you mean sex linked? do you mean it's hereditary or genetic? or do you mean more often occurring in one gender rather than the other?
