Question: I kind a have this weird rash in the vaginal region. I don't think its STD cause I am a virgin. Its really becoming irritating and I don't know what it is? Called my mom and she said it might be an allergic reaction to something.

It could be an allergic reaction - there are also many other things it could be!! You do not have to have sex to get an STD you can even pick that up in a public toilet. It could be a heat rash or a fungal infection that you picked up by any number of means. If you shave it could be razor burn. Try an anti itch hydrocortizone cream if the rash is only on the outside skin for at least a day to see if it helps. If this has no effect or if it gets worse you really need to go see a doctor and have it properly diagnosed. You will feel better knowing exactly what it is and getting the right treatment will make it go away faster. If you are also itching in your vagina then you just need to go straight to the doctor so they can get you the right medicine. Most of the infections we women get down there are not serious when proper treatment is given in a timely fashion. Only a Doctor is qualified to examine you and decide what it is!! Do not suffer or worry needlessly - go to the doctor! Good Luck!!

it could be an allergic reaction. Your best bet is to make an appointment

It could be an allergic reaction.
It could be from shaving ...
It could be a rash that just so happened to appear there.
You could go to the Dr about it.
You didn't really say what kind of rash, what it looks like and if there are any other symptoms.

Hope ya figure it out.

First I would like to applaud you for being a virgin. Yes, it is a big deal and 2nd....you asked your mother...what a great relationship going on there. Now to your question...too many possibilities to list, a Dr. is a wise choice.

you don't need to have sex to get std's... you can get some, not all, thru other ways.. sharing dirty closes as one

if you don't go to a clinic or doc, try peroxide to kill infection... make sure you are cleaning very well down there..

i have so called pimples when its that time of month, because of too much moisture down there...

i would go to the doc but maybe go to walmart and find anteseptic

Well first of all you should go to your local doctor! You need to get the needed meds from the doc to treat your symptoms!! Just
because its in your private area doesn't necessary mean that its an STD! It can be a # of things! But please get it treated before it gets worse!

The very best thing to do is see a doctor and have him examin you.

This can be a fungal infection. This can be transmitted to the area by your hands as well as another person.

Most likely it is an infection of some type and you need the proper medication so go see the doctor.

If that is all your mother told you then I think she has failed you completely. If it were my daughter I would be there and take her to the doctor.

I am not a woman but I do know of many problems you gals have. Please go to the doctor.

It could be jock itch (yes women can get it, fungal infection...), minor bacterian infection or various other things. Allergy could be possible but if its in the vaginal region it usually crops up in other areas too like the armpits or back of the knees.

Yeast infections are mainly caused by a fungal organism called Candida albicans. This organism has become extremely common and affects a large majority of people all over the world. Yeast infections symptoms happen in the vagina when the balance of the normal microorganisms of the vagina are outgrown by the Candida albican organism.

~Common yeast infection symptoms
* Vaginal discharge
* vaginal and labial itching & burning
* White chunky discharge
* pain during sex
* pain during urination
* inflammation, redness of the vulvar skin

If you douche, dont. It can cause reactions also, and makes you more prone to getting yeast infections, because it cleans out your natural vaginal bacteria. See your doctor if it bothers you, and also congratulations on staying abstinent!
