Question: There is only a few things that I can't stand to touch with my hands. My hands can never be dry, I HATE it. I just realized tonight, I tried to go rockclimbing...when I put my hand in the chalk bag, I freaked out! I could not stand the feeling it gave me..I couldn't straighten my fingers..Finally went to the bathroom to wash them! I think chamois material does this as well, just not as bad. What's wrong with me??

My husband has the same issue. He can't touch a tissue or paper towel unless his hands are wet or have lotion on them. I don't think there is anything physically wrong with either of you. How do I know? Well, he's a skin doctor!

you're fine, just don't do those things that make your hands dry?
some people are less fortunate, they don't have hands and have never had
the opportunity to feel soft silky or rough chalky things. Consider yourself
lucky that you at least know how to feel.
