What's the problem?!

Question: Haha, this is going to be very strange, but I seem to have a bad smell. Not bad like fish or anything. Just a strange smell.

Anyway, I don't know what it is! I shower and put on deoderant (Sorry, can't spell that) everyday. I don't know what the problem is, maybe I'm just paranoid. It also makes me not want to go to school, just because I don't want people not to like me. And please, if you are going to post an answer, please be serious. I'm not trying to be funny. I need a real answer.

Thanks!

You could have a body fungus that causes an unpleasant odor. Get a soap like Dial, that has anti-bacterial agents. Make sure you don't have moist socks or underware by using a non-talc based powder. If this doesn't help, consult your doctor. Its nothing to be embarrassed about. We all carry around a certain amount of fungus, sometimes there is an overgrowth and we need something to get it back in check.

Have you added something to your diet? Such things as garlic can change your "odor". If this has gotten to the point of you not wanting to be around other people, it's time to see a doctor.

As the previous poster indicated, diet will greatly influence your body odor. Also a high consumption of meat products (and low fruit intake) will usually give you a less-than-favorable body odor.

You might have systemic yeast. Sometimes, there is a rash... usually in places that get damp from sweat, like in the folds of fat, along your groin, (under breasts in women), or in the crack of your backside. The rash is sometimes itchy, red, and bumpy. However, there is not always a rash associated with the smell. Ask your doctor to check you for systemic yeast. There are meds and creams that can help.

In the meantime, wash with anitbacterial soap and keep these areas as dry as possible. Good luck.

if the smell is comng from your vagina area, try a good douche
. I would call a pharmacist and talk to him/her about it.
it could be an infection. but i would try douching first.
