Acne treatments?!

Question: I have tried multiple acne treatments, all of them being cleansers, like different versions of proactive. None of those worked. So, I'm thinking about going to the extreme, buying a zeno or wave. So, could anyone tell me, does the Zeno work well on gtting rid of acne, is it worth the $$? What about the wave, is it for acne, or just cleaning?

There are various acne products available in the market. People are taking antibiotics as an acne treatment much more today than in the past. However what happens is that your body becomes resistant to them, thus eliminating antibiotics as the best acne treatment.

One of the latest treatments is laser for severe types of acne and operates by destroying the bacteria that cause acne. Lasers used in mild acne treatments like simple blackheads and whiteheads work on the serum producing glands to open up the follicle to release the serum trapped inside by heating the upper layer and reducing the size of the oil gland. This affects the upper portion of the skin, but without harming the deeper layers of the skin and able to heal without any problem.

Have you ever just bought proactive?
Yeah, it's expensive.
But it works.

Since you have acne prone skin refrain from using products that contain: lanolin (sheep sweat), mineral oil (sounds healthy, just not for skin), petroleum (harbors bacteria), isopropyl benzol (alcohol, dries and dehydrates the skin).

Dermalogica is a very good skin care line. I which I could see your skin but if you go to Dermalogica's website and find a location or spa that carries Dermalogica they will help you out with product selection.

Zeno is a handheld Galvanic Machine... It kills the bacteria on the surface of the skin and "maybe" two and a half layers below. This is something that can be beneficial; however, it is worthless if you don't double cleanse, exfoliate, tone and hydrate.

YOU'LL GET IT TOGETHER... GOOD LUCK!!!

Caucasian Kefir, a natural, God given, pro-biotic drink (which you ferment yourself with the Kefir culture grain and milk so it's dirt cheap) to fix skin problems and many many more ailments, it will treat acne much faster than Roaccutane, and has no known side effects, you can't beat nature!!! Search the internet for Caucasian Kefir. Some people give it away free if you can't find it free search at ebay or other online sites that sell it.

Here is a testimonial Posted: Sat Dec 01, 2007 5:03 am Post subject: Acne gone in three weeks, wow!!
I'm 49 years old and developed acne in my early 40's. My son had acne as a teenager and went on roaccutane (horrific drug). It cured his acne, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. My daughter had serious cystic acne and wanted to go on roaccutane as well recently, which I was very much against, but she is 20 years old and has suffered for years. It has scarred her back, chest, her upper arms, and of course her face. I couldn't understand why we had this problem, because we have the perfect diet (I thought). I was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer five years ago and we did a drastic change of diet, as in extreme healthy. Also, there is no history of skin disorders on either side of the family. The skin problems, however, persisted. Four months ago I started making kefir with kefir grains that I bought on the internet... if you google you will find several suppliers. Also some people will send them for free. I happened to start taking Udo's oil and fish oil at the same time. It was a coincidence. My skin was clear within three weeks. My daughter had just finished a course of antibiotics for her skin (very much against my wishes as I think that in most cases antibiotics are a waste of time and dangerous to boot), and was clamouring for the roaccutane. I had to persuade her to use the kefir and flax oil/fish oil combination. She's used to me trying out all sorts of combinations over the years.
Finally she gave in and within three weeks (NOT kidding here, it happened so fast, just like for me) she was clear. We drink the kefir and take the oils at the same time.
I looked up 'Kefir Flax oil' in google and came up with Dr. Johanna Budwig, who was a German scientist who claimed to cure cancer with a flaxseed/quark (kefir, cottage cheese...) combination. It sounds far-fetched but actually she was nominated for a noble prize six times. Alot of info on good fats/oils was discovered by her.
On top of clearing our skin beautifully (no lumps, bumps, irritations of any kind except for past scars for which I'm using a combination of rosehip oil mixed with kefir topically, I also used skin culture 2000, to try to deal with the brown melasma where I had acne scars, however I became a bit scared because my heart seemed to be a bit affected), we have great energy.

This has worked for us and I wanted to share it.
