What is the easiest colonoscopy prep to tolerate?!
Question: I'm a lapband patient (weight-loss surgery,) and I can't drink or eat much of anything in quantity. There is no way that I could ever drink a gallon of liquid, or take a bunch of pills (the band prevents swallowing of large pills, they get stuck.) What other options do I have?

Magnesium Citrate is the best choice. It's only about 8 ounces and comes in Cherry or Grape flavor, it's also very inexpensive and sold at a regular pharmacy for under 3.00 a bottle. Make sure you refridgerate it and get it very cold. It tastes like soda but thicker, not bad at all. Make sure to drinkg the entire bottle and stay very close to a rest room, you'll be using it about 25 times. My doctor recommended this for me and unlike the horror stories I've heard about taking 40 pills in an hour or drinking a gallon of salty liquid, this was not bad at all. Best of luck!!
I just had a colonoscopy in December and unfortunately there are only two preps for it. Pills and the gallon of liquid. My doctor pretty much made me drink the Nulytely which was the worst experience of my life. I only drank 1/4 of the gallon and it was sufficient enough to continue with the procedure. Talk to your doctor about maybe using a combination of both methods. I mean, all they really are is intense laxatives :) Good luck. The actual procedure is nothing so don't worry!
