listerine, put some on a q tip and let it burn
Put peroxide on a q-tip and place it directly on the canker sore. It will hurt during this, but will feel better immediately afterwards.
Bactidol works pretty good... I think it's an over the counter medicine so you don't need a prescription. It's what they use on patients in the ICU who can't perform oral care by themselves.

Go to your grocery store and in the spices you'll find something called "Alum Powder". Lick your finger tip a bit and dip it in the powder and put it on the sore. It will sting a bit and make you salivate a lot at first. It puts almost a dry coating on the sore so it can heal. That's what I do anyway.
Watch what you are eating. My son gets them from acidic foods. If he eats tomatoes he gets them right under his lips. We just cut all the acidic foods from his diet and they go away. He also uses Kanka..it is a brush with the medicine on it. It helps take the pain away....hope this helps.
burn it out with salt. Put some right on the sore and hang on because it's gonna hurt.
Baking soda works. It will burn a bit but it helps.
