Answers: some people like them and some don't, so what do u think of them, are they good or bad and why?

IMO- The answer is a double edged sword.
There are very good ones and there are very bad ones.

Please read the oath below as this is an oath traditionally taken by physicians pertaining to the ethical practice of medicine.
After Reading it, then make your own decisions as to wether or not you have a good doctor?

Hippocrates (460 - 377 BC)
I swear by Apollo, the Physician, and Aesculapius and All-Heal and all the gods and godesses that, according to my ability and judgement, I will keep this Oath and Stipulation:

To reckon him who taught me this art equally dear to me as my parents, to share my substance with him and relieve his necessities if required; to regard his offspring as on the same footing with my own brothers, and to teach them this art if they should wish to learn it without fee or stipulation, and that by precept, lecture and every other mode of instruction, I will impart a knowledge of the art to my own sons and to those of my teachers, and to disciples bound by a stipulation and oath, according to the law of medicine, but to none others.

I will follow that method of treatment which, according to my ability and judgement, I consider for the benefit of my patients, and abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous. I will give no deadly medicine to anyone if asked, nor suggest any such counsel; furthermore, I will not give to a woman an instrument to produce abortion.

With purity and with holiness I will pass my life and practice my art. I will not cut a person who is sufferring with a stone, but will leave this to be done by practitioners of this work. Into whatever houses I enter I will go into them for the benefit of the sick and will abstain from every voluntary act of mischief and corruption, and further from the seduction of females or males, bond or free.

Whatever, in connection with my professional practice, or not in connection with it, I may see or hear in the lives of men which ought not to be spoken abroad, I will not divulge, as reckoning that all such should be kept secret.

While I continue to keep this oath unviolated may it be granted to me to enjoy life and the practice of the art, respected by all men at all times, but should I trespass and violate this oath, may the reverse be my lot.

i like doctors but some are idoits. and a lot really dont care about you only their check

In general, I'm glad we have doctors. They are people, just like us. Some are good. Some are bad. A lot of them are probably somewhere in between. My problem with them is that I am among the working poor and cannot afford health insurance, but don't qualify for other benefits. I don't necessarily blame the doctors for this. A lot of that has to do with the insurance companies. Also, many businesses have cut back on employee benefits.

we have to have them.. but alot of them dont care. they treat you like a #

Depends on the doctor doesn't it.
If they got into medicine for the money then they probably wouldnt make very good doctors but if they genuinlly wanted to help and save people then thats great and its a really respectable thing to do.
Some can be a little arrogant but that happens in any profession doesnt it?
So yeah, depends on the person x

i know from personal experience their are good and bad... its definitely ok to try another... I try to find one involved with doctor related groups and associations so they are up on the latest info

Well im not to happy at the moment!!

I had two doctors give me too lots of antimflammtry tablets, one was a different brand so i thought it was a different medication It made me very very sick, i had adominal pains!

And i was given excersies for my shoulder that made me WORSE when i went to see a physio instead she said i should stop doing them right away!!. The ones she has given me a really good and dont cause me pian.

Some are good i have had one that really helped me..others not so much.

well, I pay out of my a$$ for insurance so i definitely go when i need to. some people hate going, but i think its just because they are scared of whats wrong, and if they don't go, then people don't have to deal with the real problem! but when you do go, always, always get a second opinion. its crazy how you can go one day and be diagnosed with something and then the next day you have something else. last time i went, i had psoriasis on my scalp.
1st they told me i had ring worm - gave me meds, nothing happened
2ND time i went, i had a cyst on my head, gave me meds, nothing happened, finally
3rd they sent me to a dermo doc and as soon as i showed them, psoriasis! gave me meds - cleared up in 2 days! its crazy, some people just don't know what they are doing, that's why its always good to see a specialist!

i hate docs.. first of all.. i hav eczema n all dey gave me is some stupid steroid cream tingy.. another ting is tat dey r perverts.. checking and touching ur.. everywhere

Some doctors are ok. I have had my share of sucky ones that don't listen to you or are quick to give you an answer just to get you out of their face.

I think my appreciation for medical professionals has decreased severely because most doctors act like you are bothering them with your silly questions/problems or you get a totally half-assed answer and they tell you to come back in 2 months...

I avoid going to the doctors unless I really need to lately because I don't feel that my co-pay is getting me anything. I pay $15.00 for an office visit and my appointment is over in 3 minutes or I am sent to a specialist which costs me another $25.00. There is no care in health care anymore.

My sister had a friggin' brain tumor and her doctors told her she was depressed and did not want to get married, and they told her to lose 10 lbs she would feel better!! The sad truth was that she diagnosed herself and told the doctors what tests to run.

Thanks for letting me vent!!!

Sometimes they don't know what they are talking about. That's when you have to check into stuff yourself.
But most of the time they are ok.

There are bad doctors, mediocure doctors, and good doctors. I have never met an excellent doctor.

They are all just "practicing" medicine!!

No, I don't trust any of them to tell the truth about anything. I just need them to write the prescriptions for the meds I need for a healthy lifestyle.
