Lisinopril/HCTZ is a combo medication. Both of them treat high blood pressure(BP). Depending on how difficult your BP is to manage a doctor may add medications. Sometimes a doctor may start you on the combo and if he notices that you BP is doing well he can stop one of them and that is what I assume happened. In the end doctors would like patients to be on as few medications as possible so you dont get interactions. HCTZ is safe you can stop that medication abruptly and not worry about anything.

lisinopril has some HCTZ in it

you should not stop taking any medication with out the doctor saying it is okay.the reason it is prb good is the medication
it might rise back up if you stop
