I never had that before!!!?!

Question: last sunday (6days ago) i started to cough in the afternoon after a few days having a scratchy throat. before that i didnt have a sore throat or anything like that HOPEFULLY. it just started to feel scratchy. i have had to spit an enormous amount of phlegms ( waking up at night 20-40 times at night just to spit that phlegm out nearly everyday ) since sunday.

today, it seems like the amount of phlegms have decreased but my cough has gotten deeper and dry.

another thing that i noticed is that the scratchy feeling is currently moving down my throat. i remember at the beginning i could feel it at the top of my throat behind my soft pallet. now its down. it almost feel like it is in my chest but im not very sure about that.

btw, i have been smoking a max 4-5 cigs per day.
i have taken herbal medicines, drunk a lot of honey with tea and lemon but it's still here :( i still cough so soo much :(

anyone knows what it is?
i have never had a cough for so so long before in my life!

If I were you I would stop smoking until your cough goes away. Cigarettes can make it worse and make it last longer.

It may be throat infection with non-producing dry cough. Azithromycin 500mg=+ Ascoril-D for 3 days may relieve. PL. see your doctor.

It sounds like you are starting to get bronchitis, you better go to the doctor to get it checked out and get some antibiotics to get rid of it.
