You have a viral illness, likely the flu. Don't try lowering the fever to normal temperature, just keep it below 102. The fever is actually a good friend right now. The body cells work just fine at the higher temperatures, virus and bacteria can't. It interferes with their functions and prevents them from reproducing. Meanwhile, your immune system forms up and whips gerbie buns. Your part to get well faster is just to drink until your molars float, rest, and eat as well as you can. Advil and Tylenol can be taken alternatively, one or the other every two hours will keep the fever to an acceptable level. Load up on tissues with aloe, lower the thermostat a bit, and put on your most comfy jammies. Invite the bf to come over to share a movie, sympathize and baby you a bit. He's already likely been exposed anyway, so he's not going to catch anything new. And let go of the mad- it's a law of the universe that you must get sick when it's least convenient.

The flu!

flu keep taking paracetamol have a hot bath lemon and honey drink and a sleep you should feel better soon oh and drink plenty of water too

You probably have the flu! Stay in bed and get lots of rest.

Sounds like the flu.

No skiing. You could take Tamiflu if you get to a doctor.

Next year: get a flu shot!
