What type of cancer could this be?!


Question: my stepdad had to have his lmphnodes, tonsils, muscle tissue, juglar vein, and nerve endings removed because of a type of unknown cancer. what could this be and what are the odds. someone help please. thank you.

Sounds like he has some kind of head and neck cancer with extensive neck dissection. If he had his tonsil removed, that maybe where the origin is, so an oropharyngeal cancer. The prognosis really depends on the stage of the disease, which range widely from high chances of survival for early stages to much lower for advanced stages.

I don't know, you should talk to the doctor or doctors about that.

I think your information is incorrect. They cannot and do not remove your jugular vein!! If they did that, you would die instantly!

i would say lymphatic cancer. or cancer of the throat or mouth. you would need to no the type of cancer and what stage it is to no the odds. good luck and i hope your stepdad is ok.
