Sick with swollen uvula?!
Question: I have been sick for 3 days now. Mostly a sore throat with very little sinus problems. My throat has felt extremly dry. Very red and now my uvula is swollen. I dont have medical insurance. Is this something that will go away on its own or should i go see a doctor? Could this be strep throat?

Usually it clears up itself within a day or so. If it persists, see your doctor.
If it gets to the point thatit is making you gag or giving you trouble breathing, seek medical help asap.
Otherwise, try gargling salt water or tea tree oil in water, eat ice cream and relax!

won't ice cream create phlegm? I would try and suck on ice chips and see a doctor if you are having trouble breathing. I have had a swollen throat before and it is scary but ice chips seemed to help
possible infection. continue to treat your symptoms and see a doctor. they love patients who pay cash.
you'd have white spots on your throat if it was strep.
try taking a couple if teaspoonfuls of a half and half mixture of vinegar and honey...it works!!!
Try gurgling with warm salt! This will take the inflammation out of your throat!! You make have a tonsil problem!! Go to the doc because you might need to get your tonsils taken out!!!!!!!
