for my son..when its really hot in the summer..and when it snows in the winter..*werid i know*..but he has it all year long..as do i

to prevent it you need to keep your skin cool..moisturized..and away from dyes fragrances..and a lot of chemicals...you can get a skin allergy test to find out what is causing your eczema outbreaks..and then you will know for sure what to stay away from
being as it is pretty much believed to be caused by an allergy...weather its food or a chemical

not scratching and wearing natural fabrics will help prevent from making it worse..
changing your shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, bubble bath, whatever it is you use to fragrance and dye free.... *google vanicream they have a line*
changing your laundry soaps to clear or free

well good luck i suppose!

I've seen this question asked a few times with unsatisfactory answers. Some used non-steroidal creams for relief.

My son has eczema, and even my doctor(wife) is stumped.

It seems to get worse when hes in the water too much, when he gets food on his face, and it breaks out more often on exposed skin more than were hes been clothed.

so dry skin, or skin irritations.

Statisticaly there is also a coorolation between asthma and eczema.

good luck.

OK IVE HAD ECZEMA SINCE I WAS BORN...I ALWAYS USED HYDROCORTAZONE THE CLEAR KIND WORKS BETTER THAN THE WHITE KIND... AND FOR INSTAND ITCH RELIEF PUT UR AREA WITH ECZEMA UNDER HOT WATER AS HOT AS U CAN STAND IT AND IT STOPS ITCHING INSTANTLY.. IT WORKS FOR ME EVERY TIME.. AVOID LOTIONS I CANT USE ANY LOTIONS AT ALL OR ITS SWELLS AND BURNS AND ITCHES...BE CAREFUL ABOUT USEING SOAP ON AFFECTED AREA AND I PERFWER DOVE OR OLAY SOAP...BUT FOR INSTAND RELIEF OF ITCHING I WOULD DO THE HOT WATER THING... NOT TO HOT SO THAT U BURN UR SELF BUT JUST PUT IT UNDER THE FOSSET WITH HOT ENOUGFH WATER... DONT ASK ME Y BUT I HAD A HUGE DRY PATCH ON MY FOOT AND IT ITCHED SO BAD AND IT WAS BLEEDING AND I GOT IN THE TUB AND I PUT HOT WATER ON IT AND IT WORKED SO NOW THATS WHAT I DO FOR INSTANT RELIFE...BUT IF UR KIDS HAS IT I WOULDN TRUST THE HOT WATER IT WILL BURN THEMM BUT ITS OK FOR U TO DO IT TO UR SELFF...

HOPE THIS HELP I HAVE ECZEMA MYSELF...

I've found out that mainly my diet affects it. Avoid caffiene, sugar, and wheat products for a while.

My daughter has eczema, all you can do it control it and treat your skin with moisturizer especially in the winter when it's dryer out. Unfortunately you will have this forever.
