Could you catch HIV this way?!
Question: Hi,
I have OCD and the following scenario has been worrying me.
To get to where I live you have to go through this jitty/walkway, and there are often used condoms there (the other week there were 3!).
Anyway, I've always walked around my home barefoot, and I'm wondering if friends came round when it was dark and accidently trod on a used condom without knowing would they be bringing the virus into my home?
And if that was possible, if I walked where they had come in and then went to bed, would I transfer the virus to my bed?
And if the part of the duvet (bare duvet - no cover) where my feet had been came in contact with my genitals (I sleep naked), or if I touched that part of the duvet with my hand/fingers and then scratched my eye. Would that pose a risk to me?
I ask this because a part of my foot felt really sticky last night before I went to bed, my partner said not to panic because I'd probably trodden in something that had spilt in the kitchen or something.

I have OCD and I know what your going through. I know it's hard to get comfort from other people telling you it's okay and not to worry, but I can tell you that there is no way you could have contracted some disease this way. I work for a Doctor and before I started my meds I could hardly function because of worries like yours. Your fine, don't worry (easy for me to say, right) :)
