Having chest pain...what could it mean?!

Question: I'm 22 years old. Been having slight chest pain & experienced some shortness of breath. They do go away sometimes. I feel uncomfortable at times but generally, I'm still able to go about my daily activities.

I'm not overweight, no high blood pressure and have no major illness

I'm a little worried. what could this mean? Could it a sign of heart attack ?

A heart attack would be alot worse. It could be a minor panic attack. Take mini breaths but not fast or u will hyperventilate...either that or it could be heart burn.

There are many causes of chest pain, some very benign, others very serious. Heart attacks are rare in your age group, and intermittent, mild chest pain is not consistent with a heart attack (although it could potentially be something cardiovascular, but that would be more likely if you were older). It could be allergies, stress, a respiratory infection, or any one of dozens of other things. The only way to really find out what's causing the pain is to see a doctor and have it evaluated. It's probably something simple and easy to fix, so why suffer?

Bronchospasm, GERD - gastroesophageal reflux disease, MVP - mitro valve prolapse which is common in young adults, ulcer, and lots more.

You need to see a doctor.
