Many STDs, and especially gonorrhea, are asymptomatic in women, that is, there are no symptoms, unless checked by a doctor. There r a few times though, that a woman may experience symptoms. Most bacterial STDs can be treated without permanent damage, if caught early. Gonorrhea, may cause PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) in a woman, which may lead to infertility if left untreated. If u have any doubts, please visit ur OB/GYN. Gonorrhea can be detected in a urine analysis.
I m not a doctor, but please use latex condoms when performing any kind of sex, and also the best way to prevent STDs is to have an open and honest conversation with ur partner before getting into a physical relationship, and try being in a mutually monogamous relationship if not using protection against STDs.
Please see a doc to relieve ur mind.
Best of luck.

I am not a doctor but I think that is very hard for gonorrhea to cause infertility. Symptoms are very strong and noticeable so the will need to see a doctor almost immediately.

In a woman it can cause infertility due to scarring in her tubes. Any STD can do that. It doesn't matter how long it was there or if it was treated quickly or not. An infection is an infection and can cause permanent scarring.

It can also affect the seminal vesicles in a man and cause scarring there as well.

It all depends on a woman. Some women can have it for 20 years and still make healthy babies. Others have been sterilized after a month. It is a serious disease and can cause lifelong health problems if not treated.
