How Can I reduce stuffiness in my bedroom?!

Question: It is the time of year when you have to turn the heat on and everything. For some reason though, every year whenever I try to sleep, my throat gets all clogged up and my nose too. I can never sleep well either. What can I do to reduce them?

Sounds like you have sinus problems. Here's what I do:

I crack open the window on my side of the bed every night. It doesn't drive my husband, of almost 20 year, as crazy as it used to - but it helps my sinus problems tremendously. Even last night, when we got 12" of snow, I cracked open the window 1" so I could breathe fresh air.

Another helpful hint to use daily - saline spray. You can purchase this at any drug store (or WalMart) for less than $2.00. Use this 3-4 times per day to keep your sinus cavities clear.

Good Luck!

Buy a small humidifier for your bedroom and run it at night. You need more moisture in your bedroom, heat drys out the air.

A humidifier. This will put moisture in the room and keep it a good temperature.
Good Luck. =]

A humidifier. Also it could be allergens so talk to your doctor about a daily allergy medication. You could be allergic to dust, mold, and it might just be getting stirred up in the vents.

Besides the humidifer, also, dust mite proof you pillow & mattress.

buy something or open ur window a little bit

Hey!Em, just put a glass of water beside the radiator (heat source) every night! Not sure why this works (something to do with evapouration) but it does! Well, for me anyway! :)

Get a air purifyer and perhaps burn a candle with a suble fragrance during the day that will leave its lasting scent in your room.

Lavender is always a great scent for the bedroom.

get a humidifier

or if you live in a warm area, keep a window slightly open at night. if you live in New England or somewhere cold, just don't do that!

Also, try Vick's VapORub because that will keep your throat and nose from clogging individually.
