Question: EVERY episode shows him drinking alcohol and eating crap.
I have diabetic family members, and I know you are not supposed to drink alcohol that much. You arent even supposed to have it daily, just once in a great while. Is the show fake or what?

Yes, it is a scripted show. He doesn't drink like that. But you have to show it to give the impression that he does. Image is everything for ratings. He has to make his money somewhere, in this case, portraying he was the rocker of old. Obviously, not the case. Just an outdated musician, trying to make a buck and hold on to some fame. Nothing wrong with trying to make a living though -- more power to him.
I have diabetes and I drink all the time. Of course it's not healthy, but as long as he keeps his blood sugar under control that's what matters. So if you drink, or eat crap, you just have to take a little more insulin. Sad, but true.

Never take extra insulin while drinking.
Alcohol LOWERS blood sugar.
While drinking , you need to eat and check your sugar often.
People with diabetes can drink moderately and still remain healthy.
