Does anyone else know what I mean when I say....?!

Question: That licking a battery tastes like the smell of tube trains? Do you have a taste that reminds you of a smell or vice versa?

Try frogs. ;-)

licking an onion smells like body odour.

bad b.o. can smell like good skunk

Well taste and smell are very closely linked. Even if you hold your nose when you smell something really bad, you will still be able to taste it by breathing the particles in through your mouth.

How can it takes like a smell? x

A funky man who just had a long hard day at the gym!!

I know what you mean. I always say stuff like "oh it tastes like the smell of christmas tree decorations" people never get it though lol

i know what you mean - the reason is simple its the voltage reacting with your saliva causing the taste
on a tube train, the high voltage arcing to the train causes an ozone like effect but as its underground, the smell can build up

hope that makes sense - i just re read it and i doubt i would understand it if i hadn't written it lol

I swear that after using bleached water, my hands smell like sperm!
And when I have a cold and I can't smell anything, well food doesn't have taste either, it's completely tasteless! Awful!

The taste of pear drops reminds me of the smell of poppers...something I tried once in my teens=]

I get this with linking colours and letters. I saw a TV programme about this, I forget what the term is but it's linked to a form of autism. For instance, the letter 'e' is light blue/cyan to me. In the programme there were also people who were brilliant at solving maths problems because they could actually see the numbers and solutions in front of them.
Also, some fields full of cowpats smell like pot to me, but I'm not sure that's relevant.
