What causes constant nose bleeds?!

Question: For the last week and a half or so i have constantly been bleeding from my nose, and it is only from my left nostril that blood comes out of. Usually it happens like 30 minutes after I wake up or late at night when im about to sleep. Can someone please tell me what might be causing this? Should I seek medical attention? I feel like i might have a sore inside my nose because when im cleaning my nose after i bleed i see black scabs, so i have no idea what it is.

Causes for nosebleeds:
#1 - ruptured blood vessel
#2 - Hypertension (high blood pressure)
#3 - exposure to inhaling irritants to the nasal passages

Once you've ruptured a blood vessel, you can easily keep on rupturing the same blood vessel because the scab is rather delicate and the nose is a tough place! Blowing your nose, facial espressions can probably re-rupture it.

If your bleeds are from hypertension, you need to be seen like immediately at your nearest emergency room, as you are risking having what they call a "CVA" (cerebral vascular accident).

If your bleeds are from fumes from oven cleaner sprays, ammonia window sprays, or any other irritants that can be found in the air, well, man, get rid of the irritants!

Hope this helped.

You may be having high blood pressure problems...have you checked it? If it has been that persistant, I'd go to the Dr. if I were you. Good Luck!

put a cold compress/face washer on the back of your neck,to cool yourself down never tip your head back as the blood flows down your throat, high blood pressure or over heating could be your problem, see a doc and maybe put a fan in your room to add freshness to your room

What's your coke habit? Just kidding. I'm not generally a smart ***. I am tonight. Yes, you should seek medical attention (in my opinion).

It sounds as though your air in your bedroom is too dry. you might try a humidifier at night and see if that helps. When the lesion in your nostril breaks loose, it's like scraping off a scab and it'll bleed.
If you're more concerned, of course see a physician.

you should see a doctor it could be anything from blood pressure to hiv/aids, manyy things cause constant nose bleeds so see ur doc asap.
