When you eat candy and sugar to bring your blood sugar readings UP from hypoglycemia, you're just doing it temporarily and you have the possibility of going low again. After the sugar binge, you need to follow up with protein snack (ex. peanut butter crackers, etc). Protein sustains your sugar levels and is good for you and keeps your sugars at a decent level.

You should immediately see the doctor.

I suggest you learn as much as you can about diabetes treatment and prevention as diabetes is disease of ignorants There's a lot of things you can do. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. take fruits/ foods containing potassium.

Good blood sugar control through diet, exercise, and proper weight maintenance is possible. If one follows the principle "Eat to live and not live to eat" diabetes can be easily managed..

Make sure you are drinking juice or getting fast acting sugar of some sort to bring your blood sugar up so that you don't pass out. Follow this up with a food that has about 15 grams of carbohydrates. Eat at regular intervals including snacks. Foods with carbohydrates in them will burn into energy for you. You need to keep your body fueled to avoid hypoglycemic episodes. Read up on diabetes and hypoglycemia on the web and become knowledgeable about your condition. There are a lot of great websites out there. Take care and good luck!

Some of my favourite "cures" for a hypo include:

4 startbursts
10-15 skittles
1/2 can sugared soda or juice drink

I always keep some form of sugar on my person, in case an attack comes along. Also, it may be worth speaking to your doctor about having a Glucagon emergency kit. These injection kits come in handy should you actually pass out and your first aider cannot get you to swallow or keep the sugar in your mouth under your tongue.

my aunty has that and the doctor told her to eat jelly beans it puts your blood sugar up.
jellybeans are really sugary so dont eat too many but make sure you take some with you where ever you go just incase!

You should really be seeing the doctor asap !

I do think that you should get to the GP on Monday and get the tests done.

eat food high in sugar like candy, some fruits, and desserts

Carry two rolls of Lifesavers with you AT ALL TIMES ... and when you feel the least 'disturbance' pop one into your mouth and 'suck hard' so it will melt faster ... I have had hypoglycemia since I was 13, and my doctor keeps saying I should be 'going dabetic' soon ... I'm 57, and I STILL HAVE 'acute hypglycemia' ... but I now can't take much 'sugar' in my food, nor do I need as much so perhaps I'm just going to 'level out' and be 'normal' instead. Good luck, and buy a TON of Lifesavers and NEVER go out without at least two fresh rolls in your pocket. They really are 'life savers!'

Avoid sugar and high amounts of carbohydrates. Eat balanced meals with whole grain carbs at regular times.
Granola bars are good for low blood sugar.
