Not only does it equal nonmenthal ciggarettes in terms of foul breath, studies have shown that methol smokers take in more carcinogens than the average smoker and thus do more overall harm. One hypothesis is the pleasent feeling the menthol delivers causes one to inhale more deeply and smoke more often than the nonmenthol smoker.
Bottom line do not smoke, end of story. If I could have you see the number of patients I treat whom end up with disfiguring after effects of smoking you would not be so eager to light up. One that comes to mind is a gentleman with 3/4s of his lower jaw removed do to a salivary gland tumour. Try living a normal life with half a face. Sorry to be harsh but this is the reality of smoking.
