It's like a lump full of fluid. You need to get them removed cos they can probably get infected.I have one in the roof of my mouth and have done for a few years now, should get it removed really but hey lol :D

A cyst is a closed sac within any body tissue, it can be filled with liquid, gas or cells.

Basically, a cyst is a closed sac having a distinct membrane or outer covering. The contents of the cyst are " encased " within the sac. It has a lump-like appearance.
There are many types of cysts:
1) Ovarian
2) Dermoid
3) Pilonidal
4) Epidermal
5) Sebaceous
A sebaceous cyst ( lump) is a closed sac under the skin filled with a cheese-like or oily material. When a sebaceous cyst is removed, the sac ( membrane ) must also be removed as it will " fill up" again if left in place.
I hope that this is helpful.

Cyst is additional tissue growth in side our body.some time it also appears on outside as swelling.according to its stage it can be treated by drug or by surgery

its a lump.
