Question: and i am so scared my doctor gave me metronidazole (anitbiodics) to take twice a day for 7 days but im scared and i don't know what to do or how it will affect me in the future someone please help!!!

The best thing is that you are taking the medicine for it. It can be sexually transmitted so that a look at your sexual partner(s). Also it can be simialr to a yeast infection. Women have bacterial just like yeast in their vigina. But something gets thrown off track it it becomes too much bactera. And then you have bacterial vaginosis. My suggestion to you. Do not sleep with underwear on. Limit wearing thongs-it can pass bacteria from your rectum to your vagina. Do not have sex until you've finished all the medicine. Calm down. You'll be fine. Unless you got it sexually...its just one of the "perks" of being a woman.
it is just an infection kind of like a yeast infection but you need to go to the doctor to get it taken care of. You shouldnt have any problem if you take the medicine right, it will just go away. no worries hun.
