I have Tinea Versicolor. Okay to use tanning lotion again?!

Question: I have Tinea Versicolor. Im on my third day of appliying the selenium sulfide cream to my skin. I thought that I developed tinea from daily use of tanning lotion, but the dr said its not the cause. Do you think it is okay to start using tanning lotion again?

If so what precautions should i start taking?

if you read about it it thrives off of moisture. . . although my tinea versicolor never got worse from lotions. IN fact it didn't itch and it causes it not to look dry. I have lived with tinea versicolor for 10 yrs by choice not bc it doesn't go away. I dont treat it and have learned to live with it. . they make me unique. I used the selenium sulfide as a body wash and it leaves your skin dry. but moisturizers should be fine
