Allergy medication for a cough?!

Question: I have a cough that gets bad each time I go outside, which leads me to the conlcusion it's caused by allergies. Is there allergy medication i can take for it?? Do i have to go to my doctor or can i get an over-the-counter medication? Please and thank you!

Both Zyrtec and Claritin are pretty good antihistamines - try em out and see if one or the other does the trick.
