First of all, use your spell check...depressants....Yes, I have taken them for years and they DEFINITELY do make a difference in my mood. They are not a cure all. You have to do alot of work on your own. But, on the other hand, I have never felt like grabbing a gun and taking others out! That's a stereotype. Everyone reacts differently to each medication. You have to monitor your feelings and decide which one helps you get through the day better.
