If you wish to prevent the transmission of them, you can use a dental dam between you and your partner. It allows you to stimulate the genitals of you partner while you remain safely behind a latex barier. I have heard of condoms for women but not entirely sure how much protection they would afford you. It would depend on what activity you are engaging in.
