Sick baby...recognize these symptoms?!

Question: Before I start, I'm taking my daughter to the doctor tomorrow, just looking for some insight as to what these symptoms might be.

No fever
Cough that started two weeks ago
~at that time it was a 'wet' cough that was worse after she ate and at night
Over the last week the cough has become wet and dry.
She has about 10-15 coughing spells in a 24 hour period. There is no 'simple' cough, they are many coughs at a time.
Inbetween coughs, you would never know anythings wrong, perfectly happy, appetite, etc.
These coughing spells are horrible. She gags herself and it sounds like she's having difficulty catching her breath.

I called the doc last week. They said as long as there's no fever not to bring her in unless she still has it this week and it's become worse (which it has).

Any ideas what this could be? Hearing her cough like that scares the pants off me and breaks my heart!

O Hun This is Just Like what My Son Is Going through Right Now. He Is only 6 yrs old. Right Now this is Going Around Every where.
But As far as my son he was coughing so bad , when he would get up , and do to much moving he would go in to such A cough Fit And he would Gag. I gave him lots of things to suck on And that seemed to help him , he told me so LOL.
Like POP CYCLES let them feel special , that they can have all they want so they don't feel so bad , and it's a special treat. They Love It.
Please Don't Worry to much I am the one who normally would always say yes go to the Doctor ASAP , but I have been experiencing the same and he is getting so much better , he still has A cough , as we speak I can hear Him , But Much better.
And Do not take any Antibiotic for A cough. If then you do she will get amun to them , there is nothing that it will do for her Unless it is something else. I personally think they Give Antibiotics to people to much and they don't work on A virus they are ment for Bacterial Infections. A Virus needs to just run itls cource.
Ok , if this doesn't get better in a few Day defiantly Take her.
But Remember she is still going to cough , but It will seem better and not as often.
If you would like to talk to me IM me shannonocdpr my name is Shannon , I have 2 kids so I do know about Kids and I take care of them , for A living.

Just 1 more if and when she cough's and it is Green , don't worry its good , its coming out , when noting comes out is when it could be bad , but only if it's for a while.
But If you feel U need to take her then do so. That way you will feel better. But there going to say the same thing.
By the way how old is she , if she is under 3 or 4 then after a day , I might go to Doctor. But Still I'm sure she is fine.

She might just have a cold. I think that is probably the most common thing.

I think in the worst case scenario it could be Cystic Fibrosis. You can usually tell if her sweat or skin tastes salty. Give her a kiss or something. If her skin is very salty this is a sign of cystic fibrosis. But there can also be other causes of a very salty skin.

If she doesn't have very salty skin of sweat (more than normal) then I think it is just a cold. If it is very sweaty you should tell the doctor this.

How old is the baby? With you saying that it happens after she eats it almost sounds like she might be aspirating a little bit. This occurs when some of the food or saliva that should go down the esophagus (the tube going to the stomach) goes down your windpipe instead. It is not uncommon in babies and older people who can't swallow as well. Has she just recently started eating different types of foods than she was before? I am sure that you have gotten a little of your food or drink down the wrong way before. Does it sound similar to her cough?

this may sound weird but it my be allergy's my 3 year old went through this when she was1
