Are prawns bad for someone suffering from high cholesterol?!

Question: Hi there! Yes prawns are bad for high cholesterol. Any seafood that eats from the bottom of the ocean is bad for your cholesterol. That includes shrimp, lobster, muscles and PRAWN. Sorry to have to tell you this 'cuz I love all of these foods and can't eat them because of high cholesterol. You can, however, sneak a couple of them in once in a while. Peace out and keep on truckin'!

p.s. these foods are suggested , in the bible, for you not to eat.

Yes - my Mom in law avoids them because of it!

Only if you dip 'em in drawn butter or tartar sauce. Shrimp cocktail would be fine.

Shellfish are bad for high colesterol but a lot of other food is, once in a while won`t be too bad

For some strange reason, people seem to include prawns with shellfish, and this has become a bit of a culinary urban myth. A 100g serving of prawns contains a miniscule 0.2g of saturated fat.
