Is it normal to have this with strep throat?!
Question: Is it okay to develop a little flem and have a dry throat around the 7th day of having strep throat? I've been taking an antiobiotic called Amoxicillin. I'm 14 and I my throat is sore and it's hard to swallow. It doesn't actually hurt to swallow and I haven't had a fever since the first day. My throat looks better but it's still red.

It can take a little longer for strep throat to heal. Continue taking your medicine until it is all gone. By then, your throat should be better and not so red. Try using a humidifier for the dry throat. If you are not better by the time you have finished all of your medicine, call your doctor. Good luck and I hope you feel 100% soon.
