Webbed toes?!

Question: My son was born with webbed toes. aaaaaaah i was freaked when i found out but it turns out my mother n law has them. but my son's are bad. on his right foothis 2 and 3 toe are attatched all the way to the top. So he is now 12 mo and i am considering getting them seperated. has anyone else had this happened? did you get them seperated? i heard that if you get them seperated they willl just grow back together is that true? please only Write back if you have an educated awnser or life experience on the matter.doctor told me it is a personal choice to get them seperated or not. it won't hinder his walk in anyway. but he is so beautiful in everyway(even his connected toes) but I don't want him to ever feel self concious about anything!or like he is different because it is hereditary and alot more people than you think have it! what type of anestisa do they use? do they numb them or put him under?

My oldest daughter had them and she did well throughout HS and life, now that she is an adult she likes then...since she can out swim anyone. PS: she was a hit on the water polo team! Good Luck!

leave well enough alone. let him decide when he is older what he wants to do. look on the bright side, he will be a good swimmer! appearance is not everything
