Skin rash on my arm...?!

Question: I have had a rash on my arm for almost two weeks now, I went to the doctors three times already for it, one says stress rash another says elergic reaction and gives me steroids and the last one I saw siad he had no clue but was going to treat me for scaibies but its just on my arm I have four children and my boyfriend living with me and know one else has it, I didnt use the cream yet because I have an 8 month old and a 19month old and I dont want to risk them coming in contact with this cream. The rash starts above my wrist and stops just below my arm pit. The bump look like flea bites but I do not have fleas in the house, I have never had a rash like this, I have not used anything diferent on my skin. If anyone could ease my mind and point me in the write direction I would apprieciat it. thank you :-)

Is it possible that you are allergic to the metal in a watch or a bracelet?? My son once got a severe rash on his stomach, that started around his belly button and continued to spread over time, until it was all over his body. His pediatrician said it was scabies; we had to go through that grueling process of getting rid of it, only to find out that he is actually allergic to nickel. It started from the back of a snap on his pants. We later found out that because it went untreated at first, it continued to spread, and caused a secondary infection - but it was all due to the initial nickel allergy. It could have been stopped quickly with a steroid cream, much like what was prescribed to you. The fact that yours started on your wrist makes that seem plausible if you wear jewelry or a wristwatch. I would try the cream for a few days and see if you notice any change.

Good luck!!

I would get some kind of special medicine fast.

It might be excema, a very common type of skin condition that give you dry, sensitive skin so you are prone to rashes.

The fact that you haven't had this before sounds different though...

Try putting the cream on a small patch of skin, (perhaps on your armpit so that it's easier to keep away from your kids) and see how it does.
